Sunday Reflection upon 2 Corinthians 5:14-18

Does the love of Christ reside within us and among us? Paul’s profound encounter with Christ led him to a deeper understanding of Christ’s love for him and for others, and for the world. This new life in Christ was not about seeking revenge, holding onto anger, fostering malice, embracing prejudice, oppressing others, or denying the most vulnerable of necessities. It was about embracing and living a life of love and compassion, a life that is needed now more than ever.

If you feel that we lack such love and compassion, and no doubt we all feel this lack, ask the Holy Spirit to empower you in the way of love and compassion, the way of Christ, because, in Christ, the new creation has come! We do not have to wait until death or the coming of Christ. The new creation is here!
